World War I
Chemical Weapons
During world war one the Germans used chemical weapons which uses a chemical formula to kill off more people. This was a big advantage for the Germans. They used lethal gasses against two French colony divisions because the French used toxic smoke. Since it was cold the gas froze in the air and lost smell but killed over 1,000 people.
Chemical weapons are important because, it helped the Germans kill over 30,000 people including 2,000 Americans and 500,000 troops were injured as well. The gases they used were chlorine, bromine, mustard etc… This gave the Germans an advantage in the war because chemical weapons were new and they were the only country to have them at first. Other countries started to make gas masks to prevent the gas from killing them. These gases made the war the deadliest war. Chemical weapons changed world war one.
